Actually, Tejek, I understand perfectly everything you said. I personally consider INTC and AMD to be stocks that fit two different investment goals. INTC is still a great long-term stock, despite all of the negative comments from www.briefing.com. (Some of those analysts have very suspicious motives, but that's another subject.) AMD is still a trading stock in my opinion, perfect for buying on lows and selling on highs, but I would never consider it to be a candidate for a long-term portfolio.

I guess we'll just have to draw a distinction between being long and being long-term. Most INTC longs are in it for the long-term. Most AMD longs aren't even considering the long-term, at least from what I can tell. Two different investment strategies, both legit.
