Kevin here's "Briefing's" take on the NETs being down late today, and it looks to be fairly simple case of losing the wind: <16:09 ET Closing Quotes : Once traders realized Internet group didn't have the legs to rally into the close, they began to jettison the leaders and recent highflyers: YHOO finished off 6 3/8, down 13 5/8 from intraday high, AMZN lost 6 and CMGI fell 8... Stocks finishing on the plus side included recent IPOs MAIL.com (MAIL 11 1/2 +3 9/16) and Goto.com (GOTO 25 1/4 +3 7/8)... Also in the winners column were ETEL +100%, WAVE +32% and CUST +16%. > 2MAR$
