Chris, the options indicators i watch have improved a bit today, but could use a little bit more of a shake-out. so i'm looking for a bit more near term weakness, if not tomorrow, then the day after. the important element to watch here is the bond. i expected some sort of a re-test of the lows and this seems now to unfold. this retest must be successful to keep my bullish stance intact. if the bond falters, i'm going to re-assess my position. also, the stocks and sectors that have broken out to new highs must by and large not violate their respective breakout points to the downside. if these objectives are met, we'll go higher. btw, the FOMC meeting could still upset both bullish and bearish predictions, so most likely the market will continue to reflect some degree of uncertainty until then.

regards,

hb

Chris, if it was a 'weak hands' shakeout ... those hands have some hefty money to trade !!. As I posted earlier as the downturn began, I saw some significant distribution in many of the blue chip techs ..... though I closed my trading long .. I didn't go short (gnashing of teeth).
This looks a bit like yesterday was a buying climax (techs) & today was the start of the hangover. I am not looking to position trade long again until things settle a tad ... unless my intradays tell me otherwise. Just a quick in and out is the order of the day I think !!
