George, good point. Perhaps I should have expounded upon my reasoning for choosing the portals over the banks, but first and foremost, my reasoning does not discount the banks.

In my estimation, CKFR will someday be one of the largest internet based banks. Additionally, all of the portals, Yahoo, AOL and the like, will all serve as conduits for customers to conduct business with, you've got it, their bank. Surely when one logs on to the system, the system has to know from which account to debit. Simply put, an ABA routing number and an account number are all that is necessary, information which will be supplied when registering.

With this in mind one must ask, who are you really dealing with. It is my interpretation that you are indeed still dealing with your bank but through the internet portal from which you are most comfortable with.
