Yes, I have noticed in particular in the net stocks that ramping up and down is the main modus operandi on the open and close and that intraday triangles are common. I think part of the problem is market maker games. I would never be able to trade these stocks with any success so I stick to futures. I have been saying for a while that when S&P futures are easier to trade and carries less risk than many stocks, you know the market has finally gone bizerk.

Halleleujah on Alan's comments ("clean-trending markets have been outlawed in the equity markets"). I was wondering what happened to them! ;)

Too many big funds jumping in/out, too much program buying/selling, and too many of "us" in (and out of) there... it's like a local lake that has 700% too many speedboats on the weekend.
