Home was at Lake Fork in East Texas. I was on the lake near Emory. Completely rural setting to a completely metro setting. Another Whew!

Can't argue with the money though. Hey Ma! I'm changing light bulbs for $30 an hour! Are you proud of me or what?

TSO,

If my memory is correct, you're the third luminary from San Benito
that I've heard about .... the other two were Bobby Morrow, an
Olympics gold medalist in '56(?), and Freddy Fender, the Country
singer.

I grew up in the mid-Valley area in the '40s and '50s and had an
occasion to briefly meet Bobby Morrow .... pretty exciting stuff
for a kid in the Valley in those days.
