from mf...

I've been trying very hard not to pay any attention to the day by day FUD. I thought if I didn't know, I couldn't get stupid and sell just because it went up a few points.

Nine points got my attention. That's why I asked if anyone knew something more.

This is what I think is happening that may or may not have been posted here.

IF the Coppermine is being delayed till November, this is a perfect coup for Intel over the PC-133 crowd. This will kill them. They need the Coppermine more than Rambus does. I've been smiling since I heard about it. There is no improvement to speed or performance without Coppermine for that PC133 group.

I'll bet anything that the new dirty word for that crowd is "Intel". I'm enjoying every minute of this run-up. And it may or may not be due to this news.

Enjoy!

pomp,

That was my reason for concern earlier today (no I didn't know about Vinik) but I would rather see an orderly advance based upon some real news or earnings ramp, etc...not purely short covering. Short covering ramps are hardly a truly healthy sign of strength.

If it is true and I am assuming it is because CNNfn broke it <gg> then why does he want to squeeze them? Instead of ride it out and let earnings squeeze them in time? Interesting, huh?
