"What do you think is breathing life into this poor stray? "

Investors looking for value now that the big boys' stock prices are so high. SVGI, along with a few other semi-equips, has not really participated in this rally to a meaningful extent. Last cycle they went to about 38. The cycle before that to 49. Although hopes are dimming for that kind of high this time around, I think people are hoping for SVGI to land somewhere in the mid to high 20's. Read back a few posts and you'll see there's been some decent news also. IF SVGI can produce a good current quarter, with an optimistic forward outlook, the mid-20's may not be too far away.

Mr. Barrett said the Netherlands could become a "major hub for e-commerce in western Europe," pointing out that the country has a high cable network density and active government participation in developing Internet traffic. Intel, based in Santa Clara, Calif., also is starting a long-term relationship with the Netherlands' Twente University, including donations to the university laboratory and scholarships. He declined to say how much the company is investing in Twente.

Meanwhile, Mr. Barrett defused rumors that Intel may step up ties with Dutch wafer-stepper company ASM Lithography NV. Wafer-stepper technology is a key component in the manufacture of semiconductors. Barrett noted that Intel already is working with ASML in developing extreme ultraviolet lithography, as part of the Extreme Ultraviolet Limited Liability Co. program, or the EVV-LLC.

"We already have our suppliers for the current generation of our technology, although for the next generation we're still open," Mr. Barrett said, declining to comment further.

So it would appear that SVGI's position in INTC remains secure; and they're still in contention to provide the next generation "stuff".
