Everyone is having the same problem with the backend server. I was lucky in that I got it reconfirmed about 7:40 or so, but my sister is having trouble now. She's on hold with Waterhouse, about a 40 minute wait according to the queue message. She also heard that the server will be restored within 1/2 hour.

Looks like Waterhouse hasn't thoroughly tested this system for peak volume. And they say Merryl Lynch will have a perfect system up in 6 months???? NOT!!!! :-)

After a 35 minute wait on the phone, the WaterHouse representative advised me that he couldn't confirm my order. That the back-end connection to "Wit-Capital" was down and would be back up in about thirty minutes or so. That the only way to confirm this order was on the web. If by chance the web wasn't back up by the midnight deadline then the deadline would be extended.
Are others being told the same story?
