I still think that the computer and telecommunications industries are the way to go long term. Good picks for an IRA.

Angler:

I and my colleagues are going to Vancouver for a conference in August.

Dr. K and his family bought tickets, Louisville to Seattle round trip, $220 per ticket. They will drive from Seattle to Vancouver because a round trip ticket from Louisville to Vancouver was $900 from the same airline!

Dr. P and his group bought round trip tickets between Louisville and Vancouver for $400 per ticket. When Dr. P checked prices 10 days earlier, a round trip ticket was $480.

I bought a ticket from Louisville to San Francisco, then to Vancouver, and return to Louisville, for $600. A week earlier it was $700.

I think the airlines raised the price first, then offer lower prices again.

Here in Louisville we have Southwest, and other airlines (United, US Air, etc.) often match Southwest's prices if you ask.

I don't understand the airline ticket prices.
