Rumors move this market, pro and con, up and down, some true and some false, have to use your own judgement or just guess which is right. Even though some rumors are logical they don't come true. deals fall apart. Some rumors are old news. Some may be disinformation. But some are certainty true and pan out. IMO the ELNK takeover rumors are true. I've heard Gateway, Fon and Dis together, AOL. I've also seen the CEO saying "we're for sale". He knows where his future lies. In the long run smaller ISP's will all be swallowed up. That goes for many other net companies too. Bigger is usually better in today's business world. And if Gateway's interested, why not Dell? Why not CPQ with its 4 billion in cash and Alta Vista? Why not any other likely suspects? Who knows what might arise? Wait and see.
