Kosovar in the accepted sense means ethnic Albanians from the Kosovo region. This is the terminology used by Serbs and Albanians alike. Serbs in Kosovo do not consider themselves Kosovars. They consider themselves Yugoslav, "Southern Slavs", like their brethren to the north.

Truth be known, if you did DNA testing on everyone in Kosovo, you would be hard pressed to tell one lineage from another. It's just one more case of violence and territorialism in the name of religion.
