It would probably be more correct to say that we don't give a shit about atrocities as long as they don't happen to us and our allies, or those that are commtted by our enemies, no matter who they are committed against. We would be remiss for not taking advantage of the opportunity to gain any sort of political edge against our foes, any time it is possible. They do the same to us. That's life. Having said that, I believe we will find that the genocide of Kosovar civilians by Serb military and paramilitary forces to be very real. On top of the mounting evidence coming from credible sources and a natural tendency to believe the worst until proven otherwise, I have a gut feeling that it's going to be bad. Real bad.
