RC, thank you. Very nice, informative post (as always). Are you expecting any more SCKT announcements before their earnings release?
Also, I viewed the fact that MSFT put out yesterdays press release as very positive.

p.s. Not surprised to see some profit taking here. After all, we were up over 100%, at new highs.

I don't know anything about this site, except that it appears to be well written, contains a very nice and recent "buy" recommendation for SCKT:

barrowstreet.com

any reaction to their prediction of a high of $2.25? That sounds low, but I have nothing but wishful thinking to back my view that it is low...

=====================================
Investment Recommendation: Buy
Risk Level: High
Portfolio Objective: Long-Term Growth
Investment Rationale: In the last year, Socket has taken several major steps to increase its market potential and expand upon its core strategy of maintaining a leadership role in developing and marketing connectivity solutions for the mobile computer market, with a particular focus on Windows CE based systems. The company established several key relationships and agreements during this time which should help it achieve significant growth over the next two years. As a result, Socket is well positioned with both a product portfolio and strategic marketing support to capitalize on the expected growth of the Windows CE market which has grown more slowly than originally expected but appears to now be entering its most rapid growth phase. In our opinion, the company can achieve profitability within the next several quarters and could see revenue expand to $10 million this year, and $23.0 million in 2000 while earnings concurrently grow from the break even level to $0.15 per share. Using a relatively conservative 15X multiple, which is substantially below the company's expected growth rate, we believe that a 12 to 18 month price target of $2.25 is achievable. We, therefore, reiterate our Buy recommendation.
