can these cable companies... ie Cox change to AOL or some other ISP?

The answer is NO for MAYBE two years. But, most people agree that will change. Follow Frank A. Coluccio closely for most of your question. He is not only very knowledgeable, but also has a strong will to educate the mass public, so no question skipped so far.
