Ashwan, first off I would not pin my investing decision on what CNBC says. On some of the boards, it is referred to as CNBS (S for Shit). That aside i have the following observation on GoTo and why I feel that it has a good future:
1. The IPO on its first day had aq closing price that had the largest percent gain of all the IPOs offered on that day.

2. Its search engine is different from the rest of the pack and their model has a potential for generating sufficient revenue. With increasing Internet access, companies would like to get in front of the users and would be willing to pay for appearing on top of the Internet search result than being buried in the list.

3. The much touted Salon.com of Monica Lewinsky reporting fame IPOed today and it closed below the IPO price whereas GoTo which IPOed a few days earlier closed 50% higher on the first day.

4. Internet stocks were in positive territory most of the day from the open. They fell sharply in the last hour of trading. People pulled their money out. At the time that the Internets were in a swoon, GoTo was on the ascent. This leads me to believe that investors were pulling their money out from the high priced stocks such as AOL, CMGI, DCLK etc. etc. and putting it back into low priced Internets with a upward potential such as GoTo. They could have put it in Salon.com But they didn't.

So we just have to hold for a while before this will soar like INSP as Susan pointed out in one of her earlier posts.
