Of course we all know what CKFR makes from bill presentment -- nothing, it is an expense, a cost, a loss leader -- the question to ask is what form the presentment will be in -- industry standards, etc.

Ditto that...

As we see it, the announcement is likely to include a large on-us network where East and West Coast banks join together to create their own bill aggregation and payment service.

What in the Sam Hell was Integrion suppose to be? You had 18 Jumbo Bank going to go it alone with IBM to create that NetWork years ago...and they gave up and turned it over to CheckFree.

I tell ya I gotta give up on this stuff sometimes....Looks more like 18 one armed PeckerWoods at a Jumbo Circle Jerk to me. I can't wait for the United States Post Office to get into the act and charge us all 32 cents for e-bills and e-mail. Morons...geeeze!

"Tomorrow, three banks, including Chase Manhattan and probably Wells Fargo ["probably"?], will announce a major development in electronic bill presentment. As we see it, the announcement is likely to include [delving deep into speculation here] a large on-us network where East and West Coast banks join together to create their own bill aggregation and payment service. Such an event could not be good for Checkfree (CKFR - HOLD/SELL) [obviously this goon doesn't like CKFR at all] which thrives on fragmentation and not-on-us transactions. Banks that pool their business and consumer customers together obviously diminish the value of a third party processor. [isn't this what Integrion joint venture is all about?] This could potentially be an exciting event for the banking industry. [how so, Mr. Crafty? WFC customers can already pay their bills online, through WFC web site. What is better for the consumer here with this so-called "on-us network", which right now exists only in Craft's addled brain?]

Additional information available upon request." [yeah, we held back some of the more specific info of the "additional" type. Just give us a ringy-dingy and we'll tell you for sure whether or not Wells Fargo will be one of the participants in this "exciting" announcement.]
