Several thoughts on the above statement:

1. I believe that all informed investors, probably including all participants on this thread, would agree completely with that statement. Nevertheless, many not-so-informed investors probably will follow Bob's sell signal "blindly" (see #2, below).

2. What does blindly mean? How much does one need to understand the reasoning behind Bob's market timing signals before following Bob's advice is not considered a "blind" act of faith? Or is it enough to just know that he has been correct on each and every one of his buy signals for the past eight years?

3. I must not be in the group that is following Bob's signals "blindly," since I have already started to cut back on equities a little bit, even though Bob is calling for record highs in the not-to-distant future. Still, maybe I'm making a mistake by not following his advice "blindly."

Thoughts anyone?
