Need some help

I keep building a long position in some out of the money calls. The stock is a solid midcap company which is 95+% instit. owned. There is low volume ~65k per day and little if any option activity. When I first started buying I got 150 contracts at the ask. Since then whenever I have tried to buy in any size at the ask, the bid and ask are moved up. Started a new strategy of just 10 at a time, autoexec. Now what I observe is that when I am buying options there is selling off of the stock right after my buys (100, 200 share lots at the bid or below, followed by some larger transactions.)

My question. Can the option MM actually cause this activity or am I paranoid?

Any help appreciated.
