Perhaps the market for new, state-of-the-art PCs and 3-year-old "junkers" are different? Might mining the actual value of older PCs (vs the book value) add to the bottom line? Just some thoughts. Scott

refurbished off lease units ... dilute the market
It could depend on the refurbishing as how it dilutes the market. A three year old case and power supply coupled with a new highly integrated motherboard could make a low cost, consumer friendly computer which could be sold at a profit. The possiblility exists that there could be refurbish to order products which allows some upsale in the units.
