Unless they've placed those 18 Mil shares privately, NVDA is destined for the single digits, 'specially if compounded with a tech selloff.

I'd be a buyer at 50% off, timing is everything !

Are you a buyer of NVIDIA because all the other board makers now forced to go with NVIDIA or are you trying to play a takeover angle?

There are very few board makers that can replace Diamond and Creative Labs have said that they'll transition away from S3 chipsets. That means that Creative will be the last major buyer of NVIDIA chipsets and more of the marketing burden will fall on them. I'm also willing to bet that the smaller board makers, especially the ones in Taiwan, are willing to buy from S3 if S3 will supply them.

With the 18 million shares coming free for NVIDIA next month and the cash flow implications of Diamond (who was their major creditor) paying for their purchases in stock, I would stay away from NVIDIA right now. Diamond is at least 1/3 of NVIDIA's business and they will receive no incremental cash flow for the business this quarter.

Please explain. How does being the only major independent graphics chip maker makes nVidia the biggest winner?
