I, too, found it curious that NTAP would be selected for S&P. I don't know the criteria. Selecting COMS would have been very bad for S/P, imo. It has nowhere to go but down. It has run out of tricks and will be consumed by someone, imo.

Standard & Poor's announced late Tuesday that the stock would join the S&P 500 ($SPX: news, msgs) on Thursday. " according to CBS News Marketwatch this morning.
