Wake up, y'all: (f/ IBD) investors.com 8/26 Optical Coating Labs advanced 4 1/8 to 70 3/8 on more than double average volume. The stock has been basing for six weeks and is 20% off its high. The company has two fast-growing product lines. One is a filter for phone signal switching. The other is an optically variable pigment that changes color as light hits it from different directions. The Treasury Department uses the pigment in its new bills. DuPont uses it in a new line of color-shifting auto paints. The company has generated double-digit or better earnings and sales growth the past eight quarters, with profit growth outpacing revenue growth. After-tax profit margin reached a new high of 6.9% in the most recent quarter.
