Are you sure about that number of subscribers? I thought that HSACs' deal with Charter gave them a very significant increase in that number. Anyway, a deal with Roadrunner or ATHM would change things overnight.

*But with only 4700 subscribers presently, how much would you like to risk?*

No kidding.

It is the implied penetration of ~10% (number from actual industry results) for areas marketed more than 18 months that is so attractive. If you do the math you can start to see a picture emerge . . .

If HSAC were to market to the 11.6MM homes it has agreements to access that would imply ~1.16MM subscribers a year and one half out . . . now for a firm just getting started this number could probably be reduced a bit.

HSAC's own estimates call for 1% penetration per quarter. So even at 6% (six quarters in the next 18 months) we still come out to 0.696MM subscribers. By the way, they seem very confident that this number is low.

Anyway . . . just dreaming until we have some real numbers to tackle as the next few years roll by. Looking forward to the quarterly report for now.
