I am telling you that this little incident is so big and important that it has the power to sink Etrade and HSAC and the FED if it gets going in the usual way.

I disagree. The big screen tv or the trip are appropriate credit card purchases; stock is not. Margin weakens support levels during healthy retreats. When HSAC retreats buyers on margin or credit card will be the first to panic. Vulcan Ventures does not need a loan (you go to a bank for a loan); they need investors with unmargined resources to be strong hands in good times and bad.
