I was thinking S&P futures and the e-minis.

If you look at a 5 minute chart of your typical net stock and compare it to the SP9U/ES9U, you can see it right away. In futures, the boys on the floor play games, but most of their actions are centered around running stop orders, which takes a couple of weeks to figure out if you watch it closely - and we have the option of joining in when they go on the seek and destroy mission. There is no need to deal with market makers and play their games.

With market makers and specialists, they're trading with all the client orders in their hand. I think that puts investors/traders at a distinct disadvantage.
