another thought on the sense of this rumour.

recently gateway invested 200 mio.$ in cmgi. if cmgi would acquire AV from cpq by stock this would mean that two competing companies had a stake in cmgi. now does this make sense given the fact that the negotiations between cmgi and gateway have taken place not too long ago? DW should the already have known about his plans with AV.

So after all this doesn't make sense to me whether if I liked it or not.

More likely will be paid in CMGI stock. So CPQ has an inetrest in CMGI, as well as GTW previous investment. Dell is inmvolved in CMGI via NaviSite. Interesting!!
