CrossKeys: MaxLink's Wireless BroadBand Benefits from
CrossKeys Resolve Performance Management

KANATA, ONTARIO--CrossKeys extends performance management solution
to one of the fastest-growing technologies in telecom -- wireless
broadband access

CrossKeys Systems Corporation (NASDAQ: CKEY; TSE: CKY), today
announced that MaxLink Communications selected CrossKeys
Resolve(r) software to provide service level management for its
state-of-the-art broadband wireless network. MaxLink is a world
innovator in Local Multipoint Communication/Distribution System
(known as LMCS in Canada, LMDS in the US) and is deploying the
first network of its kind in Canada.

"The broadband capability and wireless flexibility of LMCS
supports the advanced telecommunications applications of today and
tomorrow," says Joel Bell, Deputy Chairman of MaxLink. "CrossKeys
provides a scalable performance management solution that allows us
to offer, monitor and document the exceptional quality of our
service in addition to its inherent flexibility and speed of
deployment."

CrossKeys Resolve software will enable MaxLink to offer
competitive Service Level Agreements (SLAs) to its LMCS customers.
SLAs, which are standard in the industry for fixed, wireline
services to large corporate clients, are extremely important for
MaxLink as it rolls out broadband wireless service. SLAs set the
ground rules for what services the carrier delivers and the
customer's expectation for the quality of those services. Setting
SLAs demonstrate a service provider's confidence in the service
being offered and gives credibility to sales teams meeting with
prospective customers.

"The CrossKeys business value is the way our software establishes
the credibility of service offerings. This is the foundation for
customer relationships," says Ian McLaren, President and CEO,
CrossKeys. "We have demonstrated how we can adapt to emerging
technologies and the special needs of new service providers.
Wireless broadband is an exciting technology and CrossKeys is at
the forefront of the performance management issues associated with
it."

The CrossKeys software will monitor and report on key performance
metrics in MaxLink's service offering. In this way, MaxLink's
innovative wireless access to an Asynchronous Transfer Mode (ATM)
backbone become transparent to the end-customer. With CrossKeys
Resolve software, MaxLink will be able to serve its customers
better by effectively capturing all relevant service objectives
and reporting on these over time.

CrossKeys Resolve software will draw data from MaxLink's
Newbridge-centric network, including the special radio interfaces
that have been integrated with Newbridge's industry-leading
MainStreetXpress 36170 Multiservices Switch. Specifically,
CrossKeys will be monitoring the thousands of Permanent Virtual
Channels (PVCs) which are the communication links customers
purchase from MaxLink. CrossKeys takes this raw data and through
sophisticated programming, provides incisive intelligence on how
the network is performing and the quality of the services being
delivered to the customer.

LMCS/LMDS refer to high frequency broadband wireless systems
operating in the 28 GHz band, licensed to deliver data, Internet,
voice, video, and multimedia services to business and residential
customers. Unlike conventional cable or wireline technology, LMCS
uses a broadband wireless communication link to connect customers
to a high-speed telecommunications backbone. This means, for
example, that a building internally wired with its own Local Area
Network (LAN) does not have to physically connect through wires
with the large, high-speed backbone of a service provider network.
This so-called "last mile" can introduce some of the more
difficult challenges in telecommunications, in terms of
transmission speed or cost of installation. Wireless access to the
powerful network backbones means quick deployment for a corporate
Wide Area Network (WAN) because no cable has to buried under the
ground. Instead, MaxLink uses a small receiver and network
interface unit to link customers to the network.

ZO,

So, how the analyst got 0.89?!!!!!!!!!!

My guess is CSFB, like many other analysts, have not revised their estimates on NN earnings. This is a tremendous upside opportunity for current NN shareholders.

All NN has to do is solve its supply management issues and get back on track. The fundamentals seem solid. I like the Stanford Telecom move very much, as long as the RF revenue doesn't negatively impact gross margins.

As you know ZO, the LMDS business is in its infancy and margins in the first couple of years will be tight.

Cheers,

Peppe
