Greg: OT response(heh). Flat panel displays? Hmmmmm.....welllll, if yer into a wild-ass speculation you might look at SIDT. They're all about DFED(Diamond Field Emission Display) technology, and have made some interesting strides. Basically they can make small format screens, out of glass, that're about 1 inch thick. It completely blows away plasma technology(which is a HUGE power pig), in all kinds of ways.

But they've had trouble getting it out of the R&D phase, and controversy swirls alll around them, coupled to horrible finances(sound familiar? ;-) ). But interestingly enough, a couple of the big Japanese players ever so quietly began partnering with them upwards of two years ago, and they ain't known to be dummies about this sort of thing. Another player could be Phillips, and of course IBM makes a sweeeeet 18 incher(which I'm using right now), but it costs about half again as much as a top of the line 550Mhz Pentium PC. In other words, as far as a display goes, it ain't cheap.

Just some thoughts. Now let's see how VLNC plays out today...

John~

Look at Genesis (symbol GNSS). Be careful though product cycles tend to be short.
