Started reading all the 60s talk and had to join in. What a fractured time! From the Cuban missile crisis to JFK's assassination to LBJ (still remember his announcement not to run again) to Vietnam to Nixon and so on. I was living in Georgetown when Martin Luther King was shot - it was so weird to see the National Guard on my street corner. They closed Key Bridge one day,and I was trapped in Virginia and couldn't get home. Those memories are vivid today.
