Thanks for all the interest.

The demonstration went very well. I do not understand Nathan's comment that there was nothing fancy in the demonstration. We transmitted four MPEG video streams; we had Internet Explorer browsing; we were playing MP3 audio; all were done at the same time. To close the demonstration, we had an Ethernet packet generator generate 22.1Mbps and we transmitted that successfully. A Fluke LAN Meter was used to measure the throughput.

For those in the business, this was conclusive evidence that we can do what we promised we could do.

It is very hard (and believe me when I say we tried) to find impressive demonstrations for this speed. You can do a single DVD stream and a few other things but that would not really be impressive.

The technical editors that were there showed a great enthusiasm. We will have to wait a week or so to see what they will write. In my next post, I will summarize what was said in the talks.

Thanks again,

Hatim
