Adam S,

Good post. The move to #15 was impressive but the sequential visitor growth from April to May might even be more noteworthy. GNET has incredible momentum.

At the PaineWebber meeting Russell H. suggested that do to seasonality (page views and other metrics will soften as America hits the beach) the summer months could witness a slowdown. It is probably more important to judge the summer numbers relative to the big boys and hope we continue to move up the rankings. I suppose it is possible the soft summer numbers could keep a bit of a lid on the other stocks but GNET's numbers are really quite impressive.

Last nite I went thru Worth magazine (August issue) that just did a big survey of 4,000 readers. They ranked everything from brokerage firms to websites and on their website rankings SI did not even crack the top 10. Then they went on to write a separate article called "Net Investor" where they judged the various message boards providers.

The author Ravi Desai came to the conclusion that Raging Bull is a better site and the posters are generally SMARTER than SI folk.

to quote "Raging Bull members are somewhat calmer and more introspective. They seem to believe in civility"

Now I am sure the demogrpahics of Worth readers does not at all match up with SI subscribers as we are likely better looking, more physically fit, more tech savvy and will soon inherit lots of cash from our parents who read Worth. But still thats got to hurt. Maybe Ravi did not know they have a dart throwing chimp for a mascot.

IMO, WORTH IS A DEAD TREE RAG

PS NICE OPEN TODAY

I would like to apologize to Fleck about my comment in trading him to Raging Bull. We need him to help us defeat Wetherell/RB/CMGI. Sorry dude!

I pulled up the site and got a pop up ad there as well as your chart. It seems to be a hypermart site. Are there pop ups on hypermart?
