Chuck,

If this conclusion is correct, wouldn't this preclude the glorius Rambus sales ramp that RMBS thread is talking about - especially given there is no CuMine for Christmas? If not, why?

I don't see DRDRAM hitting the big time for at least one more year. We will begin to see it on graphics and network cards. The arrival of high bandwidth multi-channel Willamette, Merced, K7, and Alpha systems will also drive it's growth next year.

P.S.: You can post the response on the Rambus thread if you prefer though I have a
feeling we could have a more meaningful dialogue on this (INTC) thread

Amen. The Rambus thread is mostly a love-in like the Dell thread, except for the occasional objective post by Tenchusatsu and some other technical contributors from this or the AMD thread. I posted my current (neutral) feelings about Rambus on the Gorillas and Kings thread, someone dragged it over to the Rambus thread, and one guy came back with "what planet are these guys from?"
