goto.com I just bought some golf equipment using their search engine. It was great! I hope more people start using it. It was the best search engine I've come across for buying stuff off the web. Fast response and plenty of selections to choose from.

I am a GoTo "advertiser" ( hiosilver.com ) and have found that, without a doubt, this is the best value for ecommerce websites in getting clickthrus. Nothing else I have tried comes close. I would expect that with the infusion of cash from the IPO, that GoTo will be promoting its site more to the user community. If anyone sees evidence of this, please post. By "advertiser", I mean that I am not paying for banner ads, just bidding for listings. What I love about being a GoTo advertiser are the following: 1. For web site owners, other search engines are a floating crap game, with ever changing rules. One day your site is listed #1, the next month it is listed #42. GoTo is not free, but my time has value, and GoTo saves me time. 2. GoTo gives me a monthly report and on-line feedback on which keywords are giving me the most clickthrus. 3. GoTo lets me research related keywords so that I can see which ones get lots of traffic. 4. I have GoTo as my default screen when I log onto the net. It is not always the best search engine for every purpose, but it is easy to use and it is great when you are looking to buy something. I also like the fact that, as an advertiser, I got some IPO shares (only 100, but at $15/share, who can complain?)
