Arik, you have to consider the four persuasions of motivation:

1) People who think we might be heading for trouble and are concerned for the welfare of the middle class.

2) People who are betting that we are heading for trouble and are concerned about getting their short positions in place.

3) People who are aware that they are in debt now and will probably be bankrupt if trouble arrives. Have nothing - lose nothing.

4) People who think we are in seventh heaven, i.e. sacraficial lambs, cannon fodder.
