SHREWSBURY, N.J.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--June 23, 1999--Programmer's Paradise(r), Inc. (Nasdaq: PROG - news), the
international computer products marketer, continues to aggressively grow its e-commerce business. Second quarter sales are
projected to be 240% ahead of Internet revenues for the same period in 1998.

The Company also recently announced several new initiatives that it believes will be strong drivers to continue the growth and
expansion of its electronic commerce business:

The Company recently signed an agreement with beFree, the leading Internet provider for affiliate marketing technology
to create an affiliate program for developer and IT content sites. The new program, which is scheduled to become fully
operational in early July, will link additional content sites and direct traffic to the Programmer's Paradise website
(www.pparadise.com), in exchange for referral fees. The program is expected to increase brand awareness and sales by
significantly expanding the Company's reach into technical communities on the web.
The Company also launched another specialty store in partnership with Merant (formed by the combination of
INTERSOLV and MicroFocus), a publisher of enterprise application development solutions, including PVCS Version
Manager and DataDirect Connectivity products. This addition brings the total number of specialty stores to fourteen.
Others include Microsoft, Sun Microsystems, Inprise, IBM/Lotus, JavaWorld, SunWorld, Dr. Dobbs, and Web
Review.
The Company's web site is being enhanced and expanded in the corporate sector to include acceptance of corporate
purchase orders as an alternative ordering/payment method. Corporate accounts will have access to secure extranets
where they can conduct e-commerce or research licensing opportunities and corporate services offered by the
Company.
A weekly incentive-based online questionnaire program was launched. This program is designed to collect important
feedback from the community to assist the Company in new products and program strategies. Incentives to participate
include discounts on future orders and free shipping.

''The affiliate program and specialty store additions will accelerate brand awareness of ''the island guy'' on the Internet,'' said
Jeff Largiader, Vice-President of Marketing at Programmer's Paradise Inc. ''beFree has had immense success in creating
meaningful affiliate programs and we are very optimistic about the success of our affiliate program. Up until now, corporate
accounts have not been able to order via the Internet. These accounts represent 70% of our customer base and web-enabling
them should accelerate our e-commerce business. The weekly questionnaires, which have been enthusiastically received, will
keep us in close touch with the needs of our customer base as we continue to grow,'' he added.
