In California "relocation" is a polite euphemism just as it was in the Third Reich. There's not enough wildland left to relocate them healthy&whole. So they get relocated to the gas room, and then the incinerator. So I'm all for Michael's "local empowerment" policy.

Thanks for the picts and great link!

Trapping, unfortunately in this murderous state, legally requires the death and destruction of the trappee by the trapper. So unless I undertake to do it myself possibly violating some obscure state law, it is a death sentence for these precious little living creatures. I've debated this one back and forth. I think maybe just letting them live in peace for a while is for the best. If they are still here in several weeks after they are weaned and starting to mature then maybe it will be time to reconsider trapping and relocating.

Where can I buy a "humane" trap ?
