Dear Sonki: I dont remember for sure but think it was close to 10 BILLION. So far as I am concerned AltaVista was the prize. To sell it for 2-3 Billion of inflated stock doesnt seem too bright to me. I would prefer the IPO if I were running things. Luckily I do not have a large position in this stock so no sweat to me either way. Just hate stupidity thats all. JDN

More than that, sonki. This is the first step cmgi is taking to elevate itself from being an internet checkers game to that of chess. The media has so shallowly referred to cmgi as an "internet incubator" and missed the strategic vision. The vision is on course.

But some do have a clue ...
