Does anyone know how expandable the new NOC will be?
Will it be difficult for GM to add onto the 500K user
capacity? By the end of '99, the NOC will be supporting
users from Portico, myTalk, Excite, Bell South, Qwest,
Intuit, possibly Wireless Knowledge, and who knows what
else Mr. Markman has up his sleeve. Wish we knew more
about those test they were running with EBay. The potential
uses for the magicTalk VUI are endless. While many others
are coming to market with similar offerings, it's the
Kenya agent technology that hopefully will set GM apart
from the pack.

If the Mytalk systems really were down due to being overcrowded (i.e.more than 1ook users, if I understand you right?), this would be a great success and a blamage too.

I fear that new users confronted with problems with myTalk will simply forget about it and stop using / recommending it to others.
On the other hand, this reminds me of AOL in its early years suffering (or letting its users suffer) from its subscription number explosion.

So, If they are getting mytalk bugs/NOC limitations fixed soon, 100k users would be an incredible great start.

I strongly believe that alone the #of mytalk users will increase the value of our investment, not only in terms of ads, potential portico customer recruiting, but simply meaning that GMGC will become increasingly attractive for a buyout.
