Our Pal Josef First let me start by saying I was wrong in Techride post #2095, the book as nothing to do with why Josef took off. He is not in SI jail, he is just not posting as a protest. This should be fairly easy for me to explain because most good stock pickers have one thing in common, they are artist in one form or another. Many of the people on this board (Josef included) are artist, some people are artist for a living. Artist people think different than business people and that is key to what is going on with Josef or Michal. Remember in T-Square when the commies were killing people who wanted to be free and that one guy stood in front of the tank? I'll bet you he was an artist. What this whole thing is about is that banner or link if you like for Datek (the one that is the gay pride color). That is what pissed off Josef, not the color but the fact that he as a paying member was seeing something he was told he would not see and this is IMPORTANT, and that Josef as a paying member had no way to turn it off. Josef, Michal call him what you like doesn't like banners or links on what he writes (his art), being an artist myself I can see his point. To Josef this is a"personal matter" between two people, who know who they are and a person's word. Josef did not like the banner or link just showing up either. And I must admit, I do see his point. There was no notice to my knowledge of the links or banners coming and one of the things I like about SI is you don't see them...err.....didn't see them. Also Josef pointed out that not all people were selected for SI Betta testing. Again I can see his point. Perhaps a notice that it would be done, that it would pick random members, whatever. Josef says this is all about principal, he was told one thing and another happened. So in protest, no more Josef on SI. No more content, no more art. He is doing fine and I have his e-mail for those who want to say howdy. I will not post it. Josef said to say hello to all of you and that he cares about all of you. He is stealthing, which we all know a thing or two about. Howdy Josef!!! My take is the banner or link is about money. Who is it that owns part of that company? Anyway, I'd link to be able to turn it off as a user as I don't use it and the color makes me want to hurl. Bryan, hello, Bryan, this is your ol' pal BLUE. I'd like to be able to turn of a banner or link that I don't use, please. Now if Bryan will do that then Josef just might come back and we all can live happily ever after, one big happy SI family. I've explained all this as an artist, now let me explain it as a businessman. SI/GNET has a gravy train going. We provide the content for free and they get the money. Certain people are in part why some of us like use SI. People like Kevin Watson, Taste Like Chicken, Josef and others are artist and THEY are SI to me. They ARE the content, so as a businessman I know that to lose content (Josef) is a bad business thing. Well there you have it, that is what is going on with our pal Josef.
