here's some of the points made during the Exchange conference call

The Exchange will be owned and operated by chase, first union and wells fargo.

regarding bill presentment, there are three levels:

electronic billification..... generating the bill
routing the bill to the consumer
actual presentment

The goal of the exchange will be the routing or middleware component and will base itself on the OFX standard 1.5.

any biller (regardless of their technology) and any end presenter (regardless of their technology) will be able to work
through tthe exchange if they can communicate via the OFX standard.

between the 3 institutions they have 59,000 corporate and instituional customers (potential billers) and 60 million
customers (receivers of bills). Already between the three partners in the exchange, they currenty present over 300
million bills from mortagages and credit card statements, for example.

The hope to roll out the exhange by october, prior to the y2k freeze and they are currently in beta testing. Their primary
technology partner is SUNW.

They hope to be the plumbing of e-commerce as well as enhance their own e-commerce/f-portal initiatives.

They do not see this as a competitive issue in their pre-existing relationship to the integrion consortium... though one
might debate that.

Any thoughts anyone?????

regards

Joel
