Microsoft being a monopoly is less valid today as it was back then
A monopoly in OS for about 3 years (it is not oil or gold), that is reason to drop this case now.
If it was a monopoly, it should be able to last longer than this.

SS: Is your middle initial O? Look MSFT has no monopoly and never has. You act as if there is a shortage of brains and money out there or do you believe that all those commodities are locked up in Redmond,WA. What illegal barriers? There hasn't been one proof yet of any illegal barriers being raised by MSFT other than being smarter than the competition. NOVL and NSCP fell prey to the same vice that MSFT fails to give in to - it is called complacency. Poor NSCP they got bought out for almost 10,000,000,000 and NOVL has improved their product and is making a comeback on the back of MSFT I might add. Where do you get your ideas from? JFD
