FYI...<<Newsweek survey: 71% find Net essential An online research survey for Newsweek magazine says the Internet is a daily, and very important, part of the respondents' lives. Data collected by NFO Interactive found 71 percent of those questioned consider the Internet "essential." Other findings: 70 percent of respondents say they prefer to do business with a company that has a useful Web site; 99 percent have researched products on the Web for books, travel, computer software and hardware, automobiles and other categories, and 56 percent say within ten years, we'll elect a president online. Of the 2,351 respondents, 80 percent were recruited from ads in the print edition of the magazine; the other 20 percent responded to a banner on Newsweek.com. >>
