The point is being made to differentiate Exchange hardware from something.

What is that something? Conventional Bank Mainframes?

Or is it to show hey we are tech-savvy too, not just dumb bankers.

Well, remember SUN owns Netscape's billXpert software (NSCP bought out by AOL, and spun stuff to SUN). My understanding is that this software is for billers to present bills, don't think it has too much to do with payment (like edocs, billserve, etc.). In any case SUN is probably trying to push their solutions. Kind of like IBM with Integrion (apple's to apple's?).

Their primary technology partner is SUNW.

IMO, I think they included this tidbit as a direct slam at TP and MS. Not too long ago, didn't Wells throw TP out the door?

Pete, you want to play hardball, call up Koogle and arrange to have a joint press conference tomorrow morning. Take the gloves off and release a link to the Yahoo site, even if it is a technology preview!!! That'll rile up those banks quite a bit <hehehehe>

Ummm... eBay later said they take full responsibility for not installing an OS patch that Sun had available for months.
