My opinion of reasons for the jump...in no specific order

-Paine Webber Presentation - Russell was impressive as was his tie <g> (See NotNeiderhoffers posts)

-Russells preannouncement about being comfortable with this quarters estimates (See last quarter for his idea of comfortable- a 250% surprise)

-Heavy coverage in Business Week last week, with gnet in its top ten lists twice (Fastest Revenue Growth and Largest Returns)

-Anticipation and announcements of Media Metrix numbers.

-The upcoming split

-Upcoming Earnings release in July

-Paul Allen's recent cable acquisitions and the associations GNET now has with some of his other investments such as Datek

and the fact that the internets are coming back...gnet always comes back strong when the sector moves up
