Believe me, every state is different. Here, in Ga., once you have registered the first time, then you can mail it in. And, almost every state that I've ever lived in, a new car dealer will handle applying for the tag for you, but not here. They mail your application to you, and you have to show up with your closing statement, last dental check up etc..I even went on a Tues., thinking it wouldn't be as crowded. The woman in front of me said that she thought the same thing. Wrong. R
