I'm not exactly sure whether DELL should be trying to hit that target. The strategy DELL has embarked on - building a virtual service organization through close partnerships - makes it hard to achieve the kind of one-stop accountability IBM provides. DELL could maybe do it by being the "owner" of integrated solutions. CPQ tried that a couple of years ago and it was hard going - costs were higher, finger-pointing was common, and CPQ ended up holding the bag no matter whose fault it was.

But if DELL wants to be a full service enterprise provider they will need to solve that problem somehow.
