OK.. That is quite possible. I've owned private companies before, and sold them to public companies in partial cash and mostly stock swap. Those shares have, at times, been unregistered with the SEC, and had a 2 year grace period, when they would become registered. During that time, the only way to redeem any value was for the company to make an offer to buy back some of the shares (offer has to be made to all shareholders in that class) or sell them to an individual.

This might not be the case with Medina Gold. I am not at all an expert on the rules governing such stocks, so I thought it would bring up an interesting discussion here on the thread, so I could find out.
