I am extremely disappointed with the direction QWST has decided to pursue. USW is not worth this!! Dorfman's column at jagnotes.com to day mentions that an analyst close to QWST feels that they have now put themselves in a position where they might be taken out themselves, for around 55 per share. I expected more from this company and Global Crossing. Debra

If Qwest's stock appreciates at their new claimed growth rate of
15%, it will take 2.6yrs for the stock to appreciate from its current value of $32.69 to the $47 share value that Bell South paid for it. If that pleases you, I'm happy for you!

In JJC's commentary, he claimed that he still made a factor of two on his Qwest investment. That would mean that he bought it quite some time ago. So, I wouldn't brush off his comments so quickly based on the belief that he is a short term trader. Actually, his comments and Seymore's article in today's TSC make a lot of sense. In my view, Nacchio has displayed an arrogant disregard for Qwest's stockholders.
