I agree, I would never trade from Fidelity's website. As you say, I don't believe they have a clue about serious trading. Bad as Datek is, it's far superior to Fidelity's site, which I find slow, uninteresting, and difficult to navigate.

On the other hand, Fox Plus is somewhat manageable and far more reliable than Datek and others, imho. I use CyBerTrader for my real daytrading, and I have long terms accounts with Fido where I trade them with minimal difficulty. Fido has excellent phone support, excellent written confirmations and monthly statements, very good phone traders, and have never ever once made a mistake in any of my accounts. That's why I like them for everything except quick-quick style daytrading, which is their current weakness. I just don't think they're interested in that business, although maybe they are changing that now, which I really doubt.
